Celebratation of Global Entrepreneurship week 2011 in Nepal |

Alternatives has celebrated the Global Entrepreneurship week-2011. On the occasion of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2011 Alternatives has organized a workshop on the theme “Youth Entrepreneurship Everywhere” on 9th November 2011. 20 youths participated in the program of which 6 were from the Gaky’s Light – an scholarship program of Alternatives. The whole day workshop program was based on “starting tomorrow’s business today”. Mr. Tulsi Sapkota, office secretary, hosted the program. Mr. Shiva Poudel, Program officer of Alternatives, facilitated the workshop with the introduction, importance of GEW and creative visualization skills. Mr. Santosh Koirala, program officer, shared the ideas on business opportunity in context of Nepal. Mr. Rit Gurung, Administrative officer, as a resource person shared different stories and ideas regarding the Enterpreneurship. Meanwhile, he also shared an inspiring biography “Phool Ko Akhama” a book on life history of Ani Choi Dolma and her Entrepreneural mind. At the closing ceremony Mr. Samundra Paudel, President of Alternatives said “the program will help to reduce the poverty, unemployment and brain drain if we all think from today and the government should include entrepreneurship as a curriculum for grade nine students in every school”. Alternatives has been celebrating GEW since 2008 and has organized different programs like Katha Uddhami ko, School Entrepreneurship Program and other promotional programs as Friendly Football Match (Entrepreneur VS Journalist) to School Campaign, Interaction Program, Entrepreneurs' Talk, Mentorship, and Seven Days Seven Heroes Radio Program, on the aspicious ocassion of Global Enterepreneurship Week that has generated more than 1500 participants in Pokhara, Nepal. |
