Rural Youth Entrepreneurship Development Centre started an Organic Based Seasonal and Unseasonal Vegetable Production Centre in Taprang for generating rural income and involves local youth in poverty alleviation and income generation. Through Rural Youth Entrepreneurship Development Center, Taprang, the local youth has established the Seasonal and Unseasonal Vegetable Production Centre in about 6 Ropani of land for generating rural income and promote organic based farming in their village.
Alternatives has won the World Summit Youth Award-2009. Mr. Sanjeev Raj Neupane, Executive Member of Alternatives has received this award on behalf of Alternatives in Mexico. This award is provided for Education for all category and for Alternatives contribution in building entrepreneurship culture in Nepali rural school and their community.
